Join SWMO PRSA for our November luncheon for Media Relations and PR Strategies with Melissa Haase, assistant director of Public Information and Civic Engagement for the City of Springfield. Melissa's extensive background includes newspaper and website editor, website development and communications.
About the Speaker: Melissa Haase joined the City of Springfield as assistant director of Public Information & Civic Engagement in April 2013. Before joining the City, she spent three years working as a newspaper and website editor for Community Publishers, Inc., a multimedia company and commercial printer serving communities in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. She also spent nine years working in various communications, website development and publications roles for Mercy and has worked as a journalist for the Springfield Business Journal and 417 Magazine. She has a bachelor of science degree in mass communication and journalism from Missouri State University and is a graduate of Leadership Springfield Class 32.
