Leading School Communication
Join Springfield Public Schools Chief Communications Officer Stephen Hall and Nixa Public Schools Chief Communications Officer Zac Rantz on Tuesaday, Sept. 28, as they discuss the challenges and rewards of careers in public school communications.
About the speakers:
Hall is the chief communications officer for Springfield Public Schools, the state’s largest accredited school district. Prior to joining the district in 2017, he spent 10 years with the American Heart Association, where he served as regional vice president of communications for the American Heart Association, covering Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Iowa. He has a Bachelor of Journalism degree focused in advertising and strategic communication from Mizzou.
Rantz is the internationally award-winning chief communication officer for Nixa Public Schools and has worked in the district for 20 years. He is also the author of “Hindsight: lessons learned from the Joplin tornado and other crisis events” as a way to share the knowledge gained from that experience. Rantz also runs his own marketing/PR consulting business. He has served on the board as well as one term as president for the Missouri School Public Relations Association.
